Submit your micro short film to ATL Micro, Atlanta’s festival for fast, focused storytelling. We screen micro shorts under six minutes in comedy, drama, horror, documentary, animation, and experimental work.

Submission Guidelines

Please reach us at info@atlmicro.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Films must be six minutes or less, excluding credits. We allow a total runtime of up to seven minutes to accommodate credits.

We recommend keeping credits under 30 seconds. If selected, we may request a shorter version if the credits are too long for the film's overall length.

All entries must be submitted through FilmFreeway with a secure online screener.

Yes! Films already available on YouTube, Vimeo, or other platforms are welcome.

No. Films that have screened at other festivals are eligible. There are no premiere requirements.

All notifications are sent through FilmFreeway. If selected, please respond promptly and provide the requested materials.

Yes! Selected filmmakers receive two All Access Passes good for the entire festival.


Attendance isn't required, but we encourage you to join us! Meet fellow filmmakers, participate in Q&As, enjoy mixers and parties, and watch your film with an audience. 

Yes! Filmmakers will have opportunities to discuss their work and connect with audiences during the festival.

Final screening files and materials must be submitted at least two weeks before the festival.

This festival is really crafted with care. The standard for quality of films is high and the size of the festival is more intimate which makes it easier to connect with other filmmakers, attendees, and the organizers. It really feels like a community. We had a great time representing "Mother of Pearl" and honored to win an award amongst great company!

 An all around positive experience. Kelsey, Amy and Eric are warm and welcoming and bring together an eclectic lineup of short films of varied genres. The festival is well organized and communication is excellent.
In addition to the film screenings, the festival hosts a series of insightful Q & A discussions featuring lively audience interaction. An exceptional event that highlights the power of storytelling in a short format showcase.

 Atlanta Micro Short Film Festival was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The communication leading up to the festival was excellent, and the organizers were incredibly welcoming and supportive. The event was well run, the screening looked and sounded great, and it was inspiring to see such a wide variety of creative films.
