Make a new film under 6 minutes. Screen at the festival. Win Awards

The ATL Micro Short Challenge is a special contest inside the festival. Filmmakers create a brand new short film under 6 minutes using one required element. It can be a theme, a prop, or a line of dialogue. The element proves the film was made for the festival and keeps the playing field level.
Each year the required element changes. This year’s element is:
Theme: “Lost and Found.”
You can take it in any direction. Comedy, drama, horror, documentary, animation, experimental. As long as the film is under 6 minutes and uses the theme, it qualifies.
You make a short film under 6 minutes.
You submit it to the ATL Micro Challenge category on FilmFreeway.
We watch every film.
We select the strongest works and screen them at the festival.
The selected films play together in a dedicated block during ATL Micro Shorts.
The top films receive the Best Micro Challenge Film award.
Finalists will be recognized on the festival site and in the printed program.
Length: 6 minutes or less including credits
Format: Any style or genre
Location: Film anywhere
